New Year’s Goal and More

It’s late, but I want to greet all of you with a happy new year! Hopefully, all of you had a great Christmas. With the new year upon us, many of us made new year resolutions. Having new year’s resolutions are fun and gives us all a source of happiness in achieving a goal. This year, I don’t, per say, have any resolutions, but there are a few things that I’m preparing myself for, and one of them is getting my Master’s degree in creative writing from Southern New Hampshire University (SNHU). So far, I have enjoyed the program, and it is challenging my creative process. It’s been a long time since I’ve written any creative works, so in a few courses, I have had to submit a few pieces and submit them for a peer critique workshop. So, I’m learning a lot from my professors and peers. If everything goes to plan, I’ll be getting my degree at the end of 2023, and I’ll probably call it a quit for my education career. At this point, I don’t plan on getting another degree. If I do, it will be years from now.

Sadly, I’m still at my crappy job and while I’m busy hunting for another job, I’ve decided to work on a story. I plan to draft an outline with as many details as possible and start writing by the end of February. I may turn one of my short stories into a novella/novel or start from scratch. I have an account on an online writing platform, StaryWriting, which publishes stories on a website called Dreame. I’ve written a crappy romance story that has gotten fair reviews. So, I plan to continue writing on StaryWriting. I also have another blog where I share my creative works and include a few book reviews. You can check it out here.

Finally, I started an Etsy store last year to sell jewelry, mainly earrings, but I plan on expanding my collection. I started 2023 with a new hobby, crocheting, and I love it. I crocheted three hats and am currently crocheting a bucket hat (I hope it will turn out beautifully!). As such, I plan to sell crochet items, such as hats and scarves, or I may take the challenge on amigurumi and see if I can do some cute stuff.

These are some of the stuff that I plan to work on for 2023. Crossing my fingers that it will be one smooth ride down the roller coaster. What are some of your resolutions or something that you look forward too?
